Each year, the International Hospital Federation (IHF) acknowledges institutions demonstrating exemplary work through initiatives that improve health care service delivery quality, level, and sustainability. In this edition, 12 members from our global network were awarded for their outstanding efforts.

At GGHH, we are extremely proud of the contributions made by these institutions and our more than 2,000 members, who continuously innovate and invest in solutions to transform health care and protect the health of people and the planet.

The winning members from our network, recognized with the IHF Awards 2024 in each category, are:

Dr. Kwang Tae Kim Grand Hospital Award – recognizing hospitals that excelled in the five dimensions of healthcare delivery: quality and safety, patient experience, cost efficiency, workforce wellbeing, and health equity and access.

  • Gold: Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou (Taiwan).
  • Bronze: Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (Philippines).

 

Dr. Prathap C Reddy Excellence Award for Clinical Quality and Patient Safety – a new Award for 2024 – honouring hospitals for their innovative and exemplary projects or programmes in enhancing clinical quality and patient safety.

  • Gold: Hospital Estadual de Dermatologia Sanitária Colônia Santa Marta (HDS) – Agir (Brazil).

 

Mastercard Award for Hospital Operational Excellence – a new Award for 2024 – acknowledging measurable success in operational outcomes and efficiencies through projects, programmes, or services.

Honourable mentions:

  • Groote Schuur Hospital (South Africa).

 

American College of Healthcare Executives Excellence Award for Leadership and Management – honouring excellence or outstanding leadership and management in hospitals or healthcare organizations.

  • Silver: King Saud Medical City (Saudi Arabia).
  • Bronze: Cromwell Hospital (United Kingdom).

 

Ashikaga-Nikken Excellence Award for Low-Carbon Healthcare – recognizing hospitals that have made the most demonstrable progress in the last 12–18 months in key areas of sustainability strategy and implementation.

  • Gold: Fundació Sanitària Mollet (Spain).

Honourable mentions:

Seddiqi Holding Excellence Award for Social and Environmental Responsibility – acknowledging excellence or outstanding achievements in advancing social and environmental responsibility.
